SEASON SERIES:Tonight's match-up is the second and final game between the Flames and Tampa Bay Lightning in their 2016-17 season series. The Bolts took the opening contest by a score of 6-3 back on Dec. 14. Troy Brouwer, TJ Brodie and Micheal Ferland scored in the setback. The Lightning received goals from Brian Boyle (2), Braydon Coburn, Andrej Sustr, and Alex Killorn (2) while Ben Bishop made 19 saves on the 22 shots he faced.

FLAMES' TEAM SCOPE:Calgary is coming off of a 6-5 overtime win in Nashville on Tuesday, which has them sitting in second Western Conference Wildcard spot. They trail the Predators, who have a game in hand, by a single point and sit 10 points back of the Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks, who hold the second and third Pacific Division positions respectively. The Flames have points in their last three games, going 2-0-1 in that stretch. Brian Elliott, who made 23 saves in Nashville, will get the start in Tampa. "You look at the five goals, other than maybe Forsberg's goal where he walked out of the corner, there's not much he could do," Glen Gulutzan said of Elliott's performance vs. the Predators. "You look at the saves and there were some big saves at critical times, even in the last minute of the game, some real big saves. A rush save on the shoulder on a 4-on-2 that we gave up that could have iced the cake for Nashville. I just through he made big saves."

LIGHTNING TEAM SCOPE:Tampa Bay heads into tonight's game on a seven-game point streak and are coming off of a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday. Ondrej Palat (2), Nikita Kucherov and Vladislav Namestnikov found the back of the net and Bishop made 20 saves in the win over the Oilers. Bishop has been on a run this month, winning his last five starts, allowing just six goals and posting a 1.17 GAA during that run. As per TampaBayLightning.com's Bryan Burns, Bishop has posted the lowest career GAA, at 1.97, for active NHL goalies, with a minimum of 20 games this year, in February and is has 25-10-1 record all-time in the month. On the injury front, Ryan Callahan (hip) has joined Steven Stamkos (lateral meniscus tear) in the sick bay after undergoing surgery earlier this week. Callahan is out indefinitely while Stamkos is expected back some time in March.
