It's finally here.
The NHL has released the full 2021-22 schedule, featuring a full 82-game slate for the first time since 2019-20.
The Flames will kick off the season with another edition of the Battle of Alberta, taking on the Oilers in Edmonton on Saturday, Oct. 16. This year's home opener will take place two days later with the Anaheim Ducks stopping by the Scotiabank Saddledome on Monday, Oct. 18.

The Flames will play each divisional opponent four times, with the exception of Las Vegas (twice in Calgary, once in Las Vegas) and LA (once in Calgary, twice in LA) who they will face three times each. Calgary will play the Central Division opponents three times and will play all Eastern Conference opponents twice.
2021-22 marks the Seattle Kraken's first season in the league and the Flames will be making their first trip to the Climate Pledge Arena on Thursday, Dec. 30. It is one of two treks to Washington State the team will make this year, with the second stop coming on Saturday, Apr. 9. The Kraken's first game in Calgary will take place on Thursday, Dec. 23. Their second and final trip to Calgary will come on Tuesday, Apr. 12.
Other notable marquee match-ups at the Scotiabank Saddledome this season include the Leafs stop on Thursday, Dec. 18, the New Year's Eve battle against the Jets, and the tilt vs. the Habs on Thursday, Mar. 3.
Calgary's longest home stand this season is six games starting Mar. 22 through Apr. 2, as the Flames host San Jose, Arizona, Edmonton, Colorado, Los Angeles and St.Louis.
Calgary's longest road trip of the season is a seven-game trip starting Nov. 11 and running through Nov. 21, with stops in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Philadelphia, Buffalo, New York Islanders and concluding in Boston. Calgary will face the New York Islanders in their first-ever game at the new UBS Arena on November 20th.
The 2022 NHL All-Star Weekend will take place in Las Vegas from Feb. 4-5. No final agreement or decision has been made to this point regarding the possible participation of NHL Players in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and talks remain ongoing. Subject to reaching agreement with the NHL Players' Association and the International Ice Hockey Federation on all outstanding issues, including appropriate COVID-19 insurance for NHL Players, the League has agreed, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, to pause from Feb. 7-22, 2022 to accommodate NHL Player participation in the Olympic Games. The NHL and the NHL Players' Association will retain full authority to decide not to participate should COVID-19 conditions worsen or otherwise pose a threat to the health and safety of NHL Players, or for any other reason that may warrant such decision. In the event NHL Players participate in the 2022 Winter Olympics, the NHL regular season will resume on Wednesday, Feb. 23. If, for whatever reason, there is no NHL Player participation in the Olympics, a revised Regular Season schedule will be released which, to the greatest extent possible, will adopt the dates and games reflected in the schedule contemplating Olympic participation.
All Flames home and away games will be carried live on radio with Sportsnet 960 The FAN. The complete Rogers Sportsnet television schedule and game times will be released in August.
Full ticketing options will be announced at a later date.
