The Flames will play eight preseason games (4 home and 4 away) as well as two exhibition games against the Boston Bruins in China as a part of the 2018 O.R.G China Games in preparation for the start of the 2018-19 season. The first preseason game will see the Flames take on the Edmonton Oilers on Monday, September 17th at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
The group participating in the O.R.G. China Games will arrive back in Calgary on September 20th. Calgary opens up the 2018-19 regular season at Rogers Arena as they visit the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday, October 3rd.
Media are welcome to attend all on-ice sessions. Players will be available upon request following the conclusion of each training day.
The Flames have also released goaltender, Shane Farkas of his amateur tryout following rookie camp. He will report back to Portland of the Western Hockey League.
