Flames prospect Jack Beck is going camping.
The Ottawa 67's forward has earned an invite to this summer's Hockey Canada National Junior Team camp, held at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport in Calgary from July 23-27.
The camp will host 44 players - 26 forwards, 14 defencemen, and four goaltenders - and will be an evaluation tool ahead of the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Beck, the Flames' sixth round (168th overall) selection in the 2021 NHL Draft, is coming off a career year in the OHL. He scored 22 goals and 44 points through 36 games played in the regular season and chipped in with four points in four playoff games this past spring.
"He fit the bill," said the Flames' Director of Amateur Scouting, Tod Button said afterwards. "We have him as a winger/centre. He's pretty versatile. ... He's a scrappy kid, more of a play-making slash vision-type guy."
The 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship will be held in Halifax, NS and Moncton, NB from Dec. 26, 2022 through Jan. 5, 2023.
