Five Ducks prospects have advanced to the Gold Medal game of the World Junior Championship between the U.S. and Canada, set for tomorrow night (6:30 p.m. PT on NHL Network). The Ducks and Los Angeles Kings are the only NHL teams with five players in the contest. The Ducks have an NHL-leading four prospects on Team USA (Sam Colangelo, Jackson LaCombe, Henry Thrun and Trevor Zegras).

Zegras (taken by the Ducks ninth overall in the 2019 NHL Draft) recorded an assist tonight for points in all six tournament games, and set a new career high in single-tournament assists (10). Zegras leads the tournament in assists, co-leads in scoring (6-10=16) and ranks second in goals.
Among Team USA leaders in a single World Junior Championship, Zegras ranks second in points per game (2.67), and is tied for second in scoring (6-10=16) and assists. All-time, Zegras ranks second in Team USA career points per game (2.27) and assists, and tied for second in scoring (6-19=25).
