Andy Greene's ironman streak ends tonight vs. Toronto

The Devils (16-16-7) look to extend their winning streak to three as they host the Toronto Maple Leafs (17-12-8) tonight at Prudential Center. Here's what you need to know:

1) The Devils will be without their captain, Andy Greene, who suffered an arm injury in Tuesday's game in Carolina. It doesn't appear to be anything long-term, but the medical staff wants to let the swelling go down and re-evaluate him again before allowing him to play. This means his 350-game ironman streak comes to an end. It's good for third all-time in franchise history behind Ken Daneyko (388) and Travis Zajac (401). Seth Helgeson has been recalled from Albany and will be patrolling the blueline tonight. Jacob Josefson is still out with an illness and Nick Lappin (recovering from a 24-hour bug rolling through the locker room) is a game-time decision. If he can't go, Luke Gazdic will be in.

2) Cory Schneider, who was in goal for the Devils' 5-4 overtime win against Toronto earlier in the season, will be in goal tonight for his 300th NHL game. He has two shutouts in his last five games, allowed just one goal in his past two starts and is 6-0-3 in his career against Toronto. The Devils will also host Edmonton tomorrow and head coach John Hynes said he has only made a decision about tonight's goaltender.

3) The Devils will honor their original owner, Dr. John J. McMullen, tonight as the first member of the Devils Ring of Honor for everything he did to bring the NHL to New Jersey in 1982 and grow the game at the grassroots level. The entire ceremony will be part of both the TV and radio broadcasts prior to puck drop.
