Final Score: Wild 5, Coyotes 2

                                      • -
Clayton Keller recorded two points (1-1-2) and Anton Stralman scored his second goal the season but the Wild, led by Jordan Greenway's three-point night, handed Arizona a 5-2 loss to conclude the team's two-game road trip.
"I think for a good part of the game we played well," said Head Coach André Tourigny. "Their trademark on the other side is that they play around the net. They're really good at putting traffic around the net, really good at tipping pucks.
"There's a little bit of a sour taste but at the same time we did do a lot of good things today… There were positives in that game."
A promising first period began when Keller opened the scoring with a spin-o-rama goal, his sixth of the season and one of his five first-period shots. The lead was short lived, as Minnesota's Joel Eriksson Ek tied the game up just 1:08 later.

The Wild exploded for three more goals throughout the second period, beginning with Kirill Kaprizov shooting the puck through traffic from the high slot. Greenway widened the Wild's lead to 3-1 by deflecting a Jon Merrill shot past Scott Wedgewood, and Jonas Brodin made it 4-1 with a goal just 2.9 seconds before the second period buzzer.
"[The Wild] play simple," said Tourigny. "They win battles in the corner and get pucks on the net, they play low-to-high, they find way to put pucks on the net. So you're in a battle all the time."
Stralman gave the Coyotes some life early in the third period with a shot from the point to cut the Wild lead in half. However, the momentum was extinguished when Marcus Foligno reinstated the three-goal lead just under two minutes later.
The 5-2 score held the rest of the way, and the Coyotes closed the back-to-back set with one win and one loss.

Tourigny's Take: "I'm happy about a lot of stuff today. I'm happy about our breakout, I'm happy about the offense we created, I'm happy about a lot of stuff. We made strides in the right direction and we want to get better every day. It was one of those days. We got better today in a lot of our game and we have a lot of positives to build on. Moral victories are sometimes overrated, but at the same time we know we did some good things."
