GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- The Arizona Coyotes and Hill Hockey announced today that the new hockey rink in Mesa will be named the Coyotes Community Ice Center. The new one sheet hockey facility will be open to the public in mid-October and will serve as the official training facility and home arena for the Arizona Kachinas girls and women's hockey program.

"We are excited to name this beautiful new facility the Coyotes Community Ice Center," said Coyotes President & CEO Xavier Gutierrez. "Girls hockey continues to grow exponentially in Arizona and we are proud to lead the nation in girls hockey growth over the past five years amongst NHL markets. The Coyotes are committed to the community, building fandom and providing fans of all ages, race, sex and ethnicity with the opportunity to play the great game of hockey."
The Coyotes Community Ice Center increases the total number of ice rinks in Arizona to nine and the number of ice sheets available for hockey players in the Copper State to 15.
