Barrett Hayton scored and Karel Vejmelka made 23 saves, but the Arizona Coyotes fell 2-1 to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. Both Hayton and Clayton Keller extended their point streaks to eight and nine games, respectively, but the team still saw its four-game winning streak snapped.
Nikolaj Ehlers and Adam Lowry scored, and Connor Hellebuyck made 29 saves as the Jets won for the second time in three games.
The Coyotes lost in regulation for the first time since March 3, a span of nine games.

"That was a really good stretch of hockey for us," Hayton said. "Coming out of the deadline we really wanted to focus on our attitude and being able to turn the page quick."
Ehlers opened the scoring at 4:17 of the first period, chipping his own rebound from a breakaway attempt past Vejmelka. Arizona's netminder made the initial stop, but Ehlers was able to corral his own rebound and give the Jets an early lead.
Lowry put Winnipeg up 2-0 with a shorthanded goal at 11:33 of the opening frame, one-timing a pass from Morgan Barron past Vejmelka's blocker.
Hayton cut the lead in half at 11:46 of the second period, firing a rebound from Keller's initial shot past Hellebuyck. The Coyotes were unable to pot the equalizer, however, and the Jets came away with the win. Arizona finished 0-2-1 against Winnipeg this season.

The Coyotes won the shot battle 30-25, blocked 14 shots compared to the Jets' 12, and were 6-for-6 on the penalty kill on Tuesday.
"We played with pace, we were hard on the puck carrier, we tracked hard, we moved the puck quick, and we attacked quick," said Coyotes head coach André Tourigny. "I think we played a really good game."
Arizona is right back in action on Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers, and the game will be broadcast on TNT (TV) and ESPN 620 AM (Radio). Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 pm MST.
