Fans cheering on the Arizona Coyotes at Mullett Arena on Friday night came out in droves, and they came through in a big way outside of the stadium, too.
The Coyotes partnered with Bally Sports Arizona for the annual telethon, benefiting Phoenix Children's, raising $52,901 for the hospital. Coyotes President and CEO Xavier A. Gutierrez said the team is proud to donate to such a noble cause, and will continue to look for ways to continue the partnership throughout the season.
Donations will continue to be accepted, and anyone still interested in donating

"This is one of the most special nights of the year for the entire organization because of how impactful Phoenix Children's is to this community," Gutierrez said. "They are such an important community asset. We are so blessed to be their partner and we are so honored to support their incredible effort, especially around the holidays when you have families going through such challenging times."
For any contribution of $400 or more, donors will receive a limited-edition varsity jacket featuring custom artwork created by David Arrigo, signed by all four players featured on the jacket.
The Coyotes have surpassed $1 million in donations to Phoenix Children's since starting the charity broadcast. The team was also present at the hospital earlier this week, when players visited with patients virtually to help them shop for Christmas presents.

Tim Harrison, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Special Events at Phoenix Children's, said the week was incredibly meaningful for patients at the hospital, as well as their families.
"The Coyotes are so important," he said. "When you look at not only doing things like helping fund through the telethon, or the toy drives, that help make things a little bit more special, but the players, and what the teams bring, the energy and the excitement of the place, it's all very important."

As far as the Coyotes are concerned, they're just doing their part to help an important staple within The Valley that so many families rely upon.
"For us to be able to raise awareness, to support everything that they do, it is our honor," Gutierrez said. "We are truly blessed to be a part of the amazing work of Phoenix Children's."
