Barrett Hayton recorded two points, Nick Schmaltz added a goal, and Connor Ingram made 38 saves, but the Arizona Coyotes fell 5-2 to the Anaheim Ducks at Mullett Arena on Tuesday.
Cam Fowler scored twice, Frank Vatrano, Troy Terry, and Adam Henrique each added one apiece, and Anthony Stolarz stopped 37 of the 39 shots he faced to earn his fourth win of the year.
Forward Miloš Kelemen made his NHL debut after being called up from the Tucson Roadrunners earlier in the day, and recorded one shot on goal in just over 10 minutes of ice time.

The 23-year-old said took the traditional solo lap before the warm-up skate, and said his fiancé was in the crowd to see his first game with the Coyotes.
"I had to be careful because I was thinking, 'Oh no, maybe I'll fall,'" Kelemen joked. "It was amazing."

Arizona coach André Tourigny said he was happy with what he saw out of the rookie winger in his first game.
"I liked his puck battle, I liked his size, and he showed good speed as well," Tourigny said. "He's responsible and dedicated defensively, so he showed a lot of good things."
Anaheim, though, jumped out to a lead with some timely scoring -- taking a 4-0 lead early in the third before the Coyotes started to climb back into it.
Back-to-back goals from Hayton and Schmaltz cut the lead to 4-2 with just over five minutes left in the game, but the Ducks potted an empty netter to put it out of reach.
"I like the way we arrived in the third," Tourigny said. "We put pucks at the net, recovered loose pucks, put a lot of bodies at the net, and we played with a lot of passion."

Early on the teams played an even first period before Vatrano opened the scoring at 17:38, firing a shot from above the slot past Ingram.
Terry gave the Ducks a 2-0 lead during a delayed major penalty in the second, potting his 13th of the season after skating the puck through the right circle and firing it short side past Ingram. Fowler then scored on the ensuing power play, firing a shot through traffic that beat Ingram glove side.
Fowler put Anaheim up 4-0 with his second of the game at 3:02 of the third period before the Coyotes started to cut into the lead.
Hayton converted a Ducks turnover into a goal at 10:44 of the final frame, and Schmaltz added a power-play goal at 14:34 to pull Arizona to within two, but Henrique's empty-netter at 16:39 put the game out of reach.

"We crawled back. We had a lot of fight," Tourigny said. "The guys never quit."
The Coyotes wrap up their three-game homestand against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday, and the game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Arizona (TV) and KTAR 92.3 FM (Radio). Puck drop is scheduled for 7 pm MST.
