BRANDON – The Canadiens announced on Saturday that goaltender Samuel Montembeault has been recalled from his conditioning assignment with the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League.

The 29-year-old netminder was assigned to the Canadiens’ minor-league affiliate on December 16, posting a 2.53 goals-against average and .904 save percentage in two appearances.
