Here's everything you need to know heading into the game:
1.The Habs earned five out of a possible eight points on their four-game road trip to Western Canada and Seattle, compiling a 2-1-1 record along the way. Head coach Martin St-Louis' squad capped the voyage in style with a 4-2 victory over the Kraken on Tuesday night at Climate Pledge Arena. Johnathan Kovacevic, Cole Caufield, Josh Anderson and Rem Pitlick scored for the visitors, while goaltender Jake Allen made 31 saves. Caufield and Anderson's goal were netted just seven seconds apart in the middle stanza, the two fastest markers on the road in franchise history in both the regular season and playoffs. Captain Nick Suzuki also extended his point streak to four games with an assist. He boasts a team-leading 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists), five points clear of Caufield.

2.With three goals in his last four appearances, Caufield currently leads the team with 15 goals in 26 games thus far this season. According to the NHL's Public Relations Department, the 21-year-old University of Wisconsin product tied Henri Richard for the second-fewest games to reach 15 goals in a season by a Canadiens player age 21 or younger, behind only Stephane Richer, who accomplished the feat in 25 games in 1987-88. Caufield is just eight goals shy of his career high of 23 that he set in 67 outings last year.

4.The Kings were most recently dealt a 5-0 loss by the Maple Leafs on Thursday night in Toronto. A four-game second period by head coach Sheldon Keefe's contingent was the difference. Goaltender Ilya Samsonov made 29 saves for the shutout, while veteran Jonathan Quick turned aside 36 shots for Los Angeles. The Kings went 0-for-3 on the man advantage after scoring at least one power-play goal in each of the previous seven games. It was the 500th game of Phillip Danault's NHL career. The former Canadiens center is enjoying another productive season with 19 points (7 goals, 12 assists) in 29 appearances. He sits tied for fourth in team scoring alongside Gabriel Vilardi. Newcomer Kevin Fiala (30 points), Anze Kopitar (24 points) and Viktor Arvidsson (21 points) are ahead of them. Los Angeles is in the midst of a six-game road trip.
