Since returning on the scene in November, unofficial Canadiens mascot METAL! has been trying to shoehorn his way back into a permanent role at Habs games.
During Thursday's game against the Panthers, he instead brokered himself a permanent spot on one fan's ankle.

The Habs were hosting an in-game promo offering one lucky (or brave) fan the chance to get real blue-blanc-rouge ink done during the matchup, and artist Melissa Valiquette from DFA Tattoos was in the house for the occasion.
Being a Reverse Retro theme night, the powder blue mascot and his roadie were also on-hand, with a proposition for the evening's volunteer: allow the pair to select the design without seeing it first and receive an official Reverse Retro jersey to boot.
The duo had a deal and the result was pretty rad, as unveiled to the crowd in the third period.
