PHILADELPHIA -- The Canadiens announced on Sunday that defenseman Corey Schueneman has been called up from the Laval Rocket. The 26-year-old will join the team in Philadelphia.

The 26-year-old has played eight games with Montreal this season, collecting two assists and compiling a plus-1 differential while averaging 16:09 of ice time per outing. He was previously reassigned to Laval on March 9.
The roster move comes as defenseman Kale Clague was placed on the injured reserve list with an upper-body injury over the weekend.
The Canadiens also announced on Sunday that forward Cedric Paquette has cleared waivers. The 28-year-old will now report to the Rocket.
