MONTREAL - Here's a quick look at the progress a few Canadiens prospects are making with their respective clubs so far this season.

Cayden Primeau

PRIMEAU

After winning silver with the United States at the World Junior Championship, Cayden Primeau has continued delivering solid performances back in the NCAA.
The Northeastern University Huskies netminder has posted a 3-1-0 record, 2.00 goals-against average and .919 save percentage since returning from the World Juniors. Primeau also recorded his third shutout of the season in one of those wins.

As well, the Canadiens' seventh-round pick (199th overall) in 2017 matched his career high in saves of 45 in a 2-1 win on January 19 against the University of Massachusetts.

Primeau is on the ballot for the Hobey Baker Award, presented annually to the top men's hockey player in the NCAA.

The 19-year-old American backstop has a 13-4-1 record, 2.37 goals-against average and .922 save percentage in 18 games this season.
Josh Brook

BROOK

The captain of the WHL's Moose Jaw Warriors has also been enjoying a successful stretch since returning from the World Juniors.
Brook has collected 11 assists in nine games since January 4.

The Habs' second-round pick (56th overall) in 2017 currently ranks third in points among defensemen in the WHL with 44 (9G, 35A) in 34 games.
Brook has already set new career highs in goals and points after registering eight and 40, respectively, in 69 games in 2016-17.
The Roblin, MA native is also in third place among defensemen with four power play goals.
Brook has also posted an impressive plus-19 differential so far this season.
Brett Stapley

STAPLEY

Montreal's seventh round pick (190th overall) in 2018, Stapley played a very strong game this weekend when he helped the University of Denver win 5-4 in a shootout over Colorado College on January 19. Stapley scored the deciding goal in the shootout.

On top of scoring the winner, the Campbell River, BC native also scored a pair of goals and added an assist in the game.

Currently in his first campaign in the NCAA, Stapley has 16 points (5G, 11A) in 19 games.
The centerman is also excelling in the faceoff dot: he's won 52.8% of his draws.
