1. Question from Brianna, via Twitter.
How many times a game do you really have to rush to fix someone's equipment?
Not even every game. Between periods, we're definitely changing visors pretty often because they get scratched up. We can go through seven or eight per game. We sharpen skates pretty often, but during the game, on the bench, having to repair something doesn't happen every game. It only happens from time to time. We change skate blades six to 10 times per game now, too. I have six or seven per player and I sharpen them between periods, to rotate them.
2. Question from Isabelle Thivierge, via Facebook.
Last year, we would sometimes see Radu [Alexander Radulov] eat a banana on the bench during the game. Does this kind of thing happen often? I would imagine you would have to prepare for it in advance?
No, that was specific to him and I haven't had any other players who have asked for that. Between periods, yes, but we obviously have everything we need on hand food-wise. He's the only guy I can remember who would eat fruit on the bench. We always had a banana on both ends of the bench, at home and on the road, just for him. At practice, we would keep the bananas close by for Radu. We don't do that anymore...unless someone else asks for them!
3. Question from Isabelle Thivierge, via Facebook.
Is that water or Gatorade in the bottles on the bench, and how many bottles are used per game?
We have both. There are 20 or so bottles in all.
