BostonBruins.com - Jeremy Swayman has to be running out of room in his trophy case by now.

After capturing the Walter Brown Award (best American-born college player in New England), being named to the Hockey East First-Team, and taking home Hockey East's Goaltender and Player of the Year Awards in recent weeks, the Bruins' goalie prospect added two more honors to his resume on Saturday night.

Swayman, a force during his junior season for the University of Maine, was announced as the winner of the Mike Richter Award, given annually to the best goaltender in NCAA Division I men's hockey. The 21-year-old was 18-11-5 for the Black Bears and led the NCAA in saves (1,099), while his .939 save percentage ranked second in the nation.

The Alaska native made 30 saves or more in 25 games and five times stopped at least 40 shots. Swayman's 782 in-conference saves were the 10-most in Hockey East history.

Swayman, who was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract by the Bruins on March 18, was also named to the Division I All-American First Team.

One of three Hobey Baker finalists as the best player in college hockey, Swayman lost out to Minnesota-Duluth defenseman Scott Perunovich.
