BOSTON -The NHL announced today, March 20, that goaltenderJeremy Swaymanhas been named the NHL's Third Star of the Week for the week ending on March 19.
Swayman went 2-0 during the week for Boston, posting two straight shutouts as the Bruins improved their league-best record to 53-11-5.

The 6-foot-2, 194-pound netminder started the week with a 36-save performance against the Winnipeg Jets on March 16 en route to a 3-0 victory, followed by a 26-save afternoon against the Sabres as the Bruins won 7-0 in Buffalo on March 19.
Swayman is the first Bruins goaltender to record consecutive shutouts since Tuukka Rask in 2011.
The Anchorage, Alaska native has compiled a 18-6-4 record through 30 games, while posting a 2.20 goals against average (3rd, NHL) and .920 save percentage (4th, NHL) with four shutouts (T-3rd, NHL).
