BostonBruins.com - Jeremy Lauzon tallied the first - and eventual winning - goal in Canada's 5-0 win over Slovakia on Tuesday to help the Canadians improve to 2-0 at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Lauzon's tally, a one-timer from the top of the slot, came at the 5:30 mark of the second period and was the difference in Canada's convincing victory. The 19-year-old blue liner, a 2015 second-round pick of the Bruins, also assisted on Anthony Cirelli's goal that put Canada up 3-0.

Canada (2-0-0-0, 6 points) next plays on Thursday against Latvia.

Jakub Zboril, a 2015 first-round pick, tallied two assists in the Czech Republic's 4-3 overtime loss to Switzerland. He also registered a helper in the Czech's 2-1 win over Finland on Monday. Bruins goalie prospect Daniel Vladar has not played in either of the Czech Republic's first two games.
The Czech Republic (1-0-1-0, 4 points) plays Denmark on Thursday.
Bruins defense prospects Charlie McAvoy and Ryan Lindgren suit up for the United States against Slovakia on Wednesday. Team USA won its first game, 6-1, over Latvia on Monday. McAvoy, Boston's 2016 first-round pick, played a team-high 20 minutes, 12 seconds, while Lindgren played 15:17.
