Schwartz designs exclusive line of New Era caps

Jaden Schwartz has pulled off a different kind of hat trick.
Last February, Schwartz sat down with designers for the New Era Cap Company to create his own line of St. Louis Blues hats, which will be released throughout the season at the STL Authentics team store at Enterprise Center and at the STL Authentics website.

Fans have two options to choose from in November: the "Skyline 17" is a gray, flat-bill cap that features the St. Louis city skyline across the front and Schwartz's No. 17 boldly in white. The "Schwartzy" is vintage blue and features the team's original logo on the front, Jaden's nickname along the edge of the bill and "BLUES" on the back.
Both hats are available now.
"He did great," said New Era designer Charles Beasley, who worked with Schwartz to create the designs. "I think he created a couple of fan-favorites, for sure. I was able to go to a Blues game and I could see what fans were wearing, and I think we're right in tune with what they would be into."

Schwartz will be releasing additional designs in the coming months, including a vintage snapback, a 90's style toque, a kids' cap and an orange Blues hat in which $5 of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Mandi Schwartz Foundation.
"Jaden created some hats that aren't necessarily just generic blue and gold. We have a variety of styles that we concepted, and a lot of them incorporate his number, so I think fans will really like that," said Brenda Wilbur, the Blues' Director of Branding and Creative. "Designing hats is a long process. A lot of fans probably won't realize we started his process in February, but now you're actually seeing the hats in store here in November. It's a long process, but to see it from concepting on the computer to actually come to fruition, it's really cool."
