James Neal will look to build on his impressive preseason debut as he looks to earn a contract with the St. Louis Blues out of training camp this season.
On Saturday, Neal recorded a hat trick to propel the Blues to a 6-2 win in their preseason opener at Enterprise Center.
Neal is expected to be in the lineup again Wednesday when the Blues travel to meet the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena at 6 p.m. Fans can watch the game live at stlouisblues.com and on the NHL app when you select the Blues as your favorite team (must be in the St. Louis metro area to view).

The 34-year-old veteran is participating in camp on a professional tryout and has played 850 career NHL games in a 13-year NHL career that has spanned six franchises. He has recorded 294 goals and 261 assists (555 points) in the regular season.
"For me, I've been around a long time, played on a lot of different teams. There were a few different options for me, but I felt like this team is a really hard team to play against. I've played against them a lot. They're a team that wants to win and is on the verge of winning again, so for me, I just wanted an opportunity to come here and show the work that I've put in this summer. I know I've got lots of game left."

Neal was skating on a line with Robert Thomas and Jordan Kyrou on Wednesday at Centene Community Ice Center and figures to be in that spot for Wednesday's game.
