GAME 3 VS. WINNIPEG

LOOKING AHEAD

Teams that take a 2-0 lead in a best-of-seven series have advanced to the next round 86.4 percent of the time and own an all-time series record of 318-50.
Statistic aside, though, Blues Head Coach Craig Berube cautioned against his team getting too high after Game 2's victory.
"This is a good team that we've beat twice here. A really good hockey team," Berube said. "And they're going to give us their best game in Game 3 at home. There's no reason to get too high. You've got to stay ready, and we've got to play better than we've played."
Facing a Jets team down 1-0 in the series Friday, the Blues battled hard to earn a 4-3 win in Game 2 at Bell MTS Place thanks to two goals from Oskar Sundqvist and momentum-swinging goals from Pat Maroon in the second period and Ryan O'Reilly in the third. Several key saves from Jordan Binnington late in the third and a big shot block from captain Alex Pietrangelo helped secure the win.
"Coming in here and winning two games right away, it's not an easy task," Sundqvist said after Friday's win. "But I think all the guys in here have been playing really well these last two games."

WHAT THE JETS ARE SAYING

"I don't think we're frustrated. I think for the most part we've played two pretty solid games. It comes down to a couple breaks. We miss a chance, they go down and tie the game 2-2 instead of it going to 3-1. We get a couple chances late there, they get a couple blocks and some big saves. I feel like we're right there." - Jets forward Adam Lowry
"I would like every single goal I ever let in back. I'm going to prepare the same way and make sure my game's right, and we're gonna take it to them." - Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck
