HS Cup Championships

ST. LOUIS - On March 13, all eyes will be on Enterprise Center for the final playoff rounds of St. Louis high school hockey.

The Wickenheiser Cup kicks off at 5:30 p.m. when Lafayette High School and Duchesne High School take the ice. Following that game, DeSmet Jesuit High School and St. Louis University High return for a rematch for the Challenge Cup at 8 p.m.
The four high school hockey teams have emerged from the 38 teams in the Mid-States Club Hockey Association, and all hockey fans are invited to attend the Championships. Tickets for the event are $12 and can be purchased at the

pages. Patrick Kelly, son of FOX Sports Midwest's John Kelly, will call the action. Former Blue Jamie Rivers and FOX Sports Midwest's Andy Strickland will serve as analysts.

Wickenheiser Cup - 5:30 p.m.

Lafayette High School (12-6-2)
In the playoffs, the Lancers defeated Ft. Zumwalt East (7-4, 10-2) and Rockwood Summit (2-0, 4-3) to reach the Wickenheiser Cup. Senior forward Grant Robinson leads the team with 13 goals, while freshman forward James Vermeersch leads the team with 12 assists and 21 points.
Duchesne High School (15-9-0)
Duchesne defeated Westminster then beat Parkway West (6-3, 7-3) in the semifinals to reach the Wickenheiser Cup championship game. Senior forward Vincent Conti leads the team with 41 goals and 59 points.

Challenge Cup - 8 p.m.

DeSmet Jesuit High School (13-8-2)
Scoring 17 points over four games, DeSmet shutout Marquette (5-0, 5-0) and defeated Chaminade (4-2, 3-1) in the playoffs to return for a rematch for the Challenge Cup. Senior forward Jack Estes leads DeSmet with 13 goals and 15 assists (28 points).
St. Louis University High (20-2-1)
As the reigning Challenge Cup Champions, the Jr. Billikens have only allowed two goals during the playoffs and defeated Priory (4-1, 4-0) and Kirkwood (3-0, 3-1) to return to the Challenge Cup. Senior forward Gabriel Schwartz leads SLUH with 14 goals and 17 assists (31 points).
