GAME 3 VS. WINNIPEG

Here are four keys to success in Game 3:

1. Find some success on the power play

The St. Louis Blues lead the best-of-seven series 2-0 despite going 0-for-7 on the power play in the first two games. The Winnipeg Jets have been undisciplined at times - Mark Scheifele has taken three minor penalties in the series, including a dangerous interference penalty when he hit Ryan O'Reilly from behind in the first period in Game 2. Less than two minutes later, Andrew Copp dangerously hit O'Reilly from behind, too, and was sent to the penalty box.
If the Blues can get their power-play rolling, the Jets will start paying a steep price for being undisciplined.

2. Get primary scoring

Until O'Reilly scored the game-winning goal in the third period Friday, the Blues' top line of Brayden Schenn, O'Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko had been kept off the scoresheet in the series.
Fortunately for St. Louis, they're getting some secondary scoring. Pat Maroon has a goal and an assist, Oskar Sundqvist has contributed two goals and Jay Bouwmeester has two assists.
When the Schenn-O'Reilly-Tarasenko line gets rolling - and it's only a matter of time before they do - look out!

3. Get to Hellebuyck early

The media in Winnipeg asked goaltender Connor Hellebuyck if he would like to have any of the goals he gave up in Game 2 back. Another question, phrased differently, asked whether he should have stopped a few more of the wrist shots the Blues fired his way.
"I really don't like that question," a frustrated Hellebuyck said. "I'm going to remain positive here. It's only 2-0, there's a lot of hockey to be played."
"I think he's going to be great tomorrow, I truly do, that's his career," Jets Head Coach Paul Maurice said Saturday. "I expect him to be at his best."

4. Break their resolve

Despite the overall score of the series, the Blues and Jets have been engaged in some extremely tight battles. The Blues trailed for most of Game 1, and it wasn't until the third period where they mounted a comeback and won with a late goal from Tyler Bozak.
In Game 2, it was another even game until O'Reilly scored the go-ahead goal in the third - and to keep the lead, the Blues needed some heroic saves from Jordan Binnington and a massive shot block from captain Alex Pietrangelo in the game's final minutes.
Teams that have a 2-0 lead in a best-of-seven series have advanced 86.4 percent of the time - and those percentages are even better for teams that lead 3-0.
If the Blues can win Sunday, even the strongest-willed Jets will likely experience some doubt.
