The Blackhawks earned an important win on home ice on Tuesday night, holding off the Dallas Stars for a 4-2 victory at the United Center.

Kirby Dach, Dominik Kubalik, Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane all found the net, while Kevin Lankinen stopped 25 shots in the win.

STAT OF THE NIGHT: One day shy of three years to the day since his last game as a Blackhawk, Vinnie Hinostroza made his return to the team on Tuesday night, notching one assist against Dallas.

UP NEXT: Chicago and Dallas meet again at the United Center on Thursday evening (7 p.m. - NBCSCH).

GAME RECAP

CHI: 1, DAL: 0
1st - 12:15 - Kirby Dach (Patrick Kane, Connor Murphy)

After having a Patrick Kane goal off a Kirby Dach feed just 1:05 into the period called back, the duo reverse roles for a goal that stood just past the midpoint of the frame. Kane sent a perfect saucer pass to the streaking Dach off a rush, where the centerman quickly cut from his backhand to forehand in tight for a 1-0 lead.

CHI: 2, DAL: 0
2nd - 9:39 - Dominik Kubalik (Vinnie Hinostroza, Adam Boqvist)

Chicago struck again off the rush in the middle frame as newly-re-acquired Vinnie Hinostroza set up Dominik Kubalik for the lead doubler. Hinostroza found Kubalik crashing the back post and the sophomore winger slid a shot five-hole on a sliding Jake Oettinger for the 2-0 advantage.

CHI: 3, DAL: 0
2nd - 19:05 - Alex DeBrincat

The lone top-liner without a point on the night scored all alone in the final minute of the second. Alex DeBrincat won a puck back along the boards in the offensive zone, walked to the high slot and ripped a wrister past Jake Oettinger in goal for his 20th of the season and a 3-0 lead just before the second intermission.

CHI: 3, DAL: 1
3rd - 1:29 - Andrew Cogliano (Blake Comeau) -- SH

Dallas got on the board while down a man early in the third. Blake Comeau broke up a Chicago pass in his own end and Andrew Cogliano won the race to the loose puck at the Blackhawks blue line, finishing his breakaway chance past Kevin Lankinen to make it a 3-1 game.

CHI: 3, DAL: 2
3rd - 13:46 - Radek Faksa (Esa Lindell, Blake Comeau)

The visitors pulled within one with just under seven minutes to play as Radek Faksa picked up a missed Esa Lindell off the end boards and popped a quick shot over a diving Kevin Lankinen to make it a 3-2 scoreline.

CHI: 4, DAL: 2
3rd - 19:53 - Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane put the game away in the dying seconds, pouncing on a puck in the neutral zone and finding the open net for a 4-2 final score.
