All five prospects faced each other for the final game of the preliminary round of the World Juniors tournament after Team Canada handed Team Sweden their first loss with a score of, 5-1.

F Victor Stjernborg, Sweden

At the end of Sweden's first loss, Stjernborg was named as the best player of Team Sweden of the game as voted by the team. Throughout the four games, the Swedish forward recorded one assist, two penalty minutes, minus-one and averaged around 14 minutes of ice time.

D Nolan Allan, Canada

The Canadian defenseman posted his second point of the tournament with an assist during the 5-1 victory. He finished the preliminary round with two points (1G, 1A), two penalty minutes, six shots on goals, plus-five and 17 minutes of ice time.

F Colton Dach, Canada

Dach suffered an injury during the matchup and will miss the remainder of the tournament. Throughout his four games, two assists, five shots on goal, plus-three and averaged close to 11 minutes of ice time.

D Ethan Del Mastro, Canada

The alternate captain recorded his second assist of the tournament for the second game in a row. In this year's tournament, he posted two assists, two penalty minutes, two shots on goal and over 18 minutes of playing time.

D Kevin Korchinski, Canada

Korchinski scored his first goal for Team Canada to secure their fifth and final goal of the win. He improved to four points (1G, 3A), three shots on goal, plus-four and 13 minutes of ice time.

Both teams will enter the quarterfinal round with games starting on Monday afternoon. Sweden will start at 10 a.m. CST against Finland and Canada will start the 5:30 p.m. CST contest against Slovakia. The winners of these matchups will move on to the semifinal that starts on Wednesday.
