CHICAGO'S CAPTAIN

Jonathan Toews will be celebrated before puck drop for becoming the 366th player in NHL history and the eighth player in Blackhawks history to skate in 1000 career games on Thursday night.
Drafted third overall by the Blackhawks in the 2006 NHL Draft, Toews is a three-time Stanley Cup champion (2010, 2013, 2015), 2010 Conn Smythe recipient, winner of the Selke Trophy in 2013 and was named one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players as part of the league's centennial celebration in 2017. The Winnipeg native scored a goal in his NHL debut on Oct. 10, 2007.

VS. ARIZONA

Division foes Chicago and Arizona meet for the third of four matchups this year. The Coyotes won the last showdown on Jan. 6. Jake McCabe, Alex DeBrincat, MacKenzie Entwistle and Kirby Dach scored that night for the Blackhawks. DeBrincat has a marker in back-to-back games against the Coyotes and has points (4G, 4A) in seven of his last nine skates against Arizona.
Dylan Strome picked up a helper in the last game vs. his former club and has points (2G, 1A) in three of his last four games against the team. Patrick Kane registered two helpers for the third straight game vs. Arizona on Jan. 6. He has 18 career multi-point efforts against the Coyotes. Jonathan Toews picked up a helper and won 67 percent of his draws in the Blackhawks and Coyotes last matchup. He has points (7G, 13A) in 12 of his last 17 games against the Coyotoes.

CAT ATTACK

Alex DeBrincat potted his 39th marker of the 2021-22 campaign on Friday and sits two away from his career high of 41 he set in 82 games during the 2018-19 season. His 39 goals share sixth in the league and his 14 power-play tallies share fourth. The Farmington Hills, Michigan native is averaging .57 goals per game and .94 points per game this year, with both totals being the second highest single-season averages of his career (.62 GPG and 1.08 PPG in 2020-21).

STROME RUN

Dylan Strome has points in 13 of his last 15 games after picking up a helper on Friday. Strome's previous career-long point streak came from Feb. 2-12, 2019 (five games). The Mississauga, Ontario native posted his second hat trick of the season, recorded an assist and won 11 of his 14 faceoffs (79 percent) against Anaheim on March 8. He has nine games of two or more points since Jan. 26 when he posted his first career hat trick in Detroit. Strome matched a career high with 14 faceoff wins on March 23. He is winning a career-best 52.7% of his faceoffs this season. His 19 markers this year are one off his career high set during the 2018-19 campaign.
