BLOG: Sharp teases Burish on meaning of 'One Goal'

Of all the memories from the 2010 season that ended the Blackhawks 49-year title drought, two words stand out a decade later.
"The whole 'One Goal' slogan, that was fantastic. It kind of put the expectation that we've got to win the Stanley Cup," Patrick Sharp said during the last month's 2019 Blackhawks Convention. "Burish took it as he's just going to score one goal."

Speaking at the Convention panel "Reliving the 2010 Stanley Cup," Sharp and Burish were joined on stage by 2010 teammates Bryan Bickell, Dave Bolland and Kris Versteeg.
As part of a interlude on the team's return to the playoffs in 2009, Burish was quick to remind his teammates of when exactly that one goal was scored, during the Western Conference Finals against Detroit.
"You guys might not remember, but I scored the first goal of that series, so I did my part," Burish said. "How many goals did you guys score?"
The entire hour-long panel includes the usual riffing between Burish and Sharp, but also some never-before-heard stories about the historic 2010 team, the ensuing celebration and how Jonathan Toews would've missed a Cup-deciding Game 7. Check out the full panel below:
