Today at 12 p.m. CT, chicagoblackhawks.com and Blackhawks TV will stream the movie "Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita - Monuments to Excellence" in honor of Mikita, who passed away more than a week ago.
The 2012 film details the lives and careers of the two Blackhawks Ambassadors and Hockey Hall of Famers, including Mikita's journey to Canada as a young kid, how he embraced the city of Chicago, his return to the organization as an ambassador, and the unveiling of his statue outside of the United Center.
Mikita died at the age of 78 on Tuesday, Aug. 7, surrounded by his loving family. The public paid their respects to the franchise leader in points (1,467) and games played (1,394) during a visitation on August 12. His family held a private celebration of life on Tuesday.
