Kappo Kahkonen is 7-2-0 with a 2.21 GAA for Iowa

The Iowa Wild split its home-and-home weekend series against Chicago (1-1-0). The Wild earned a 3-0 shutout victory in its first game against the Wolves Saturday at Allstate Arena (11/16). D Josh Atkinson (0-2=2), F Kyle Bauman (0-2=2) and F Dmitry Sokolov (2-0=2) led Iowa with two points each. D Keaton Thompson also netted a goal. G Kaapo Kahkonen stopped all 22 shots faced for his second shutout of the season. Iowa fell in its second game against Chicago, 4-3, Sunday at Wells Fargo Arena (11/17). F Connor Dewar led the team with two points (1-1=2). F Gerald Mayhew and F Kyle Rau each scored a goal. G Mat Robson made 19 saves.

Mayhew leads the Wild with 13 points (9-4=13) in 12 games this season and ranks T-4th in the AHL in goals. F Sam Anas (3-8=11), D Brennan Menell (1-10=11) and Rau (5-6=11) rank T-2nd on Iowa in scoring with 11 points each. Menell ranks second amongst AHL defensemen in shots (55), T-5th in assists and T-8th in points. Kahkonen is 7-2-0 with a 2.21 GAA, a .917 SV% and two shutouts in nine games and ranks T-2nd in the League in shutouts and T-3rd in wins. Robson is 2-2-3 with a 2.10 GAA, a .929 SV% and one shutout in seven games and ranks second amongst AHL rookie goaltenders in SV% and fourth in GAA.
