ST. PAUL - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the NHL club has assigned forward Zach Parise to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) on a conditioning assignment.

Parise, 33, underwent microdiscectomy surgery on Oct. 24 and has not appeared in a game for Minnesota this season. He tallied 42 points (19-23=42) including six power-play goals and four game-winning tallies in 69 games with the Wild last season and added three points (2-1=3) in five Stanley Cup playoff matches. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound native of Minneapolis, Minn., owns 661 points (318-343=661) in 830 career NHL contests with New Jersey and Minnesota.
