ST. PAUL -- The Wild will embark on its fifth set of back-to-back games this weekend, beginning Saturday when Minnesota hosts the Buffalo Sabres at Xcel Energy Center.
When it comes to how he divides his playing time in the crease, Wild coach Bruce Boudreau provided a window into how he chooses to go with his goalie rotation.

Once again, it will be Devan Dubnyk starting on the front half of the back-to-back, with Alex Stalock slated to go tomorrow in Chicago.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it," Boudreau said.
Stalock has won his past three starts, all in the second game of back-to-back sets, defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning, Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks in those efforts. Overall, Minnesota is 4-0 playing for the second time in as many nights.

Backstopping a team playing in its second game in as many days isn't always easy; in addition to fatigue from the previous game, there are also travel concerns teams contend with, in addition to a variance in the team's game-day routine.
So what has allowed Stalock to have the success he has in the second of back-to-backs?
"Alex is a pretty good puck handler, and when defensemen are tired in the second game, he helps out an awful lot," Boudreau said. "It makes sense to do it that way. We've done it in the past by looking at the opposition, but it dawned on me this year that this makes some sense."
Zach Parise is expected back in the lineup tonight after missing Thursday's win against the Vancouver Canucks because of illness. Parise practiced in full on Friday and said he feels much better.
The only lineup change expected for Minnesota will come down the middle, where Matt Hendricks will play in place of Joel Eriksson Ek.
"Just reset. With [Jordan Greenway], we did a reset by sending him down," Boudreau said. "This is sort of a take notice that we need a little bit more from you. He plays hard every night, he does all the things you want to see him do defensively, we just need a little more."
