It's not everyday that a goaltender gets to notch a point in his belt. On Saturday, January 13th, against the Arizona Coyotes, Aaron Dell registered his first career point.
The Sharks were tied 3-3 with just over three minutes left in the second period when Joonas Donskoi was denied at the net by Coyotes goaltender Scott Wedgewood. The Coyotes regained possession of the puck and chipped it into the Sharks zone.
Aaron Dell gathered the puck behind his net, looked for an open teammate and passed to Mikkel Boedker. Boedker took the puck up the ice and passed it to Donskoi who made a magician like play over Wedgewood for sweet revenge, giving the Sharks a 4-3 lead.
