For the second time this season, Jorian Donovan has been recalled from the Belleville Senators.
Senators management has decided to call up the 22-year-old left-handed defenseman as the team prepares to head to New Jersey to face the Devils.
To make room for him on the roster, Cam Crotty has been placed on the injured reserve list.
Donovan has already made a brief stint in the NHL this season. He was called up on October 5, then sent back to the B-Sens 24 hours later. He did not get the chance to play in a game.
With Belleville, Donovan has played three games so far. He is still looking for his first point of the season, but he has fired five shots on goal.
The B-Sens won their first road game of the season on Saturday night, defeating the Syracuse Crunch 3-2. Forwards Kasper Halttunen, Ryan Suzuki, and Xavier Bourgault led a three-goal third-period surge.
