Olofsson to wear No. 71 beginning next season

Victor Olofsson will switch to uniform No. 71 beginning next season, the Sabres announced Monday.

Olofsson wore No. 41 for his first six NHL games at the end of the 2018-19 season. He has worn No. 68 for each of the past two seasons.
Olofsson will become the fourth Sabres player to wear No. 71, joining Jochen Hecht (2003), Derek Whitmore (2012), and Evan Rodrigues (2016 to 2020).
