Last week's big story

Postgame Monday: Don Granato

The Sabres are in the midst of a very busy stretch. They had four games last week and went 1-3-0, ending the skid with a thrilling win in Nashville on Saturday.
Buffalo lost to Florida yesterday and has three more games this week. Then they head out for a four-game road trip next week.
All the while, they're trying to stay in the Wild Card race. They're currently six points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second Wild Card spot with a game in hand.

The games ahead

After tonight's game, the Sabres will host Ryan Miller Night presented by KeyBank on Thursday. More on that in the next section.
On Saturday, the team will face the Anaheim Ducks for an afternoon game at KeyBank Center. Faceoff is set for 12:30 p.m. It's Youth Hockey Day and the Sabres will be once again rocking their black and red third jerseys. Tickets are on sale now.

What else to watch for this week

On Thursday, the Sabres will induct goaltending great Ryan Miller into the team's Hall of Fame and raise his No. 30 to the rafters during Ryan Miller Night presented by KeyBank.
The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. Doors to KeyBank Center will open at 4:30 and fans attending the sold-out game are strongly encouraged to be in their seats by 5:50 so they do not miss the start of the ceremony.
Upon entry, all fans in attendance will receive a replica banner.
Fans enjoying from home can catch the ceremony on MSG starting at 6 as part of an extended pregame show. Warmups will take place following the banner-raising festivities and faceoff against the New York Islanders is set for 7:30.
