Sabres loan Rousek to Amerks

The Buffalo Sabres have loaned forward Lukas Rousek to the Rochester Americans, the team announced Tuesday.
Rousek, 23, scored a goal on the first shot of his first NHL shift against the Montreal Canadiens on Monday. He added an assist in the second period, becoming the first Sabres player to record a goal and an assist in his NHL debut since Maxim Afinogenov in 1999.

Rousek ranks second on the Amerks with 49 points (15+34) in 62 games this season. The Amerks host the Cleveland Monsters on Wednesday.
The Sabres' next game is Friday at KeyBank Center against the New York Rangers.
