Rangers to Host 7th Annual "Pride Night" Presented by Delta Air Lines

As part of the New York Rangers' and Madison Square Garden Sports' ongoing commitment to support the LGBTQ+ community and advance the culture of diversity and inclusion in hockey, the Rangers will celebrate the seventh annual Pride Night, presented by Delta Air Lines, tonight, Friday, January 27 against the Vegas Golden Knights at 7:00 PM at Madison Square Garden.

Fans in attendance on Friday night will receive a Delta Pride fanny pack, while supplies last.

Rangers Agree to Terms with Ben Harpur on Two-Year Extension

New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Ben Harpur on a two-year contract extension through the 2024-25 season.

Harpur, 28, has skated in 18 games for the Rangers this season, recording one goal and two assists for three points and an even rating. Harpur scored his first goal with New York on January 19 against Boston. Since Harpur made his Blueshirts debut on December 15, the Rangers hold a 11-4-3 record for 25 points and have allowed the third fewest goals against per game (2.33) in the NHL.

The Hamilton, Ontario native has notched two goals and 16 assists for 18 points in 174 career NHL games between the Rangers, Nashville Predators and Ottawa Senators.

Rangers Recall Will Cuylle from Hartford

New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has recalled forward Will Cuylle from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL). Sammy Blais has been assigned to Hartford for conditioning.

Cuylle, 20, has skated in 39 games for Hartford this season, tallying 13 goals and seven assists for 20 points. Among Wolf Pack skaters, he ranks first in goals and third in points.

Across two seasons with Hartford (2022-23, 2020-21), the Toronto, Ontario native has registered 15 goals and 10 assists for 25 points in 57 games.

Rangers Claim Forward Jake Leschyshyn off Waivers

New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has claimed forward Jake Leschyshyn (leh-SIH-shuhn) off waivers.

Leschyshyn, 23, has skated in 22 games for the Vegas Golden Knights this season, recording 38 hits. His 10.80 hits per 60 ranked fourth on Vegas. The Raleigh, North Carolina native has played in 63 NHL games with the Golden Knights over the last two seasons, notching two goals and four assists for six points.

Igor Shesterkin Selected to Participate In 2023 NHL All-Star Game

Vezina-winning goaltender selected to ASG for first time in his career

The National Hockey League announced today that New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin has been selected to participate in the 2023 NHL All-Star Game on February 4 in Sunrise, Florida.

In earning his first All-Star Game selection, Shesterkin becomes the seventh goaltender in franchise history (Chuck Rayner, Gump Worsley, Ed Giacomin, Gilles Villemure, Mike Richter, Henrik Lundqvist) to be selected to participate in the All-Star Game. He is the 17th goaltender in NHL history to win a Vezina Trophy prior to being selected/playing in an All-Star Game.

Rangers Agree to Terms with Jimmy Vesey on Two-Year Extension

New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward Jimmy Vesey on a two-year contract extension through the 2024-25 season.

Vesey, 29, has recorded six goals and six assists for 12 points and a plus-4 rating in 38 games with the Blueshirts this season. Among forwards, Vesey ranks fourth in shorthanded time on ice with a 56:08 mark and is one of three Rangers with a shorthanded goal this season. Among Rangers forwards to skate over 50 minutes shorthanded, Vesey ranks second in fewest power play goals against per-60 (5.34).

NYR to Host Hockey Fights Cancer Night Presented by Northwell on Nov. 28

On Monday, November 28, when the New York Rangers play the New Jersey Devils at Madison Square Garden, the Rangers will host Hockey Fights Cancer Night presented by Northwell.

Hockey Fights Cancer (HFC) is an NHL initiative that unites the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families. The Rangers partner with the Garden of Dreams Foundation (GDF) and Northwell to inspire hope and courage for those who are living with, going through, and moving past cancer, along with recognition for their caregivers/support system. The NHL has designated the month of November as Hockey Fights Cancer Month.

Rangers Acquire Fifth-Round Pick in 2025 NHL Entry Draft

Blueshirts trade Ryan Reaves to Minnesota

New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has acquired a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Ryan Reaves.

Following the trade, the Rangers now have eight picks in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

Reaves skated in 81 games with the Rangers over parts of two seasons (2021-22 and 2022-23), recording five goals and eight assists for 13 points, along with 55 penalty minutes.

NYR & Northwell to Honor Service Members with Military Appreciation Night

The New York Rangers will honor and support those who serve and have served with Military Appreciation Night, presented by Northwell, on Sunday, November 13 when they host the Arizona Coyotes at Madison Square Garden.

Military Appreciation Night will feature in-arena promotion such as special warm-up jerseys and sticks, the recognition of military members and a national anthem featuring United States Army and Air Force members.

Rangers Agree to Terms with Defenseman Ben Harpur

New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Ben Harpur on a one-year contract.

Harpur, 27, has played four games for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL) after the team signed him to a professional tryout (PTO) on October 13.

The Hamilton, Ontario native split his 2021-22 season between the Nashville Predators, and Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL. In 19 games with Nashville last season, he posted one assist/point. While with the Admirals, Harpur skated in six games.
