The National Hockey League announced today that the New York Islanders® will host the New York Rangers® on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at MetLife Stadium, home of the NFL's New York Giants and New York Jets, as part of the 2024 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series™.

"The New York Rangers are thrilled to have the opportunity to play at MetLife Stadium as part of the 2024 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series™," New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury said. "Taking part in marquee events is a privilege we don't take for granted. I'm excited for our players, organization and fans that the Rangers will have the chance to play outdoors next February."

The Blueshirts will be making their fifth appearance in an outdoor game, tying them for the fourth-most among NHL clubs, and their first since the 2018 NHL Winter Classic®. The Rangers hold a 4-0-0 all-time record in outdoor games, as they earned wins against the Flyers in the 2012 NHL Winter Classic® at Citizens Bank Park, the Devils and Islanders, respectively, at Yankee Stadium as part of the 2014 NHL Stadium Series™, and the Sabres in the 2018 NHL Winter Classic® at Citi Field. The Rangers are the only NHL team that has played in at least three outdoor games and has won every contest.

Located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, MetLife Stadium has hosted over 550 major events and 3,000 special events. Event highlights, besides Giants and Jets home contests, include the first outdoor, cold-weather Super Bowl XLVIII, WrestleMania 29 and 35, the Copa America Centenario Final, the 2021 Army-Navy Game, and many concerts, college football games, and international soccer matches.

Further details on this event, including time of puck drop, broadcast information and ticketing information will be released later. Fans can sign up for news and updates on the 2024 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series™ game featuring the Rangers and Islanders here.
