For the eighth consecutive season, they're in.
By collecting a point over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night, and coupled with a shootout loss by the Golden Knights in Dallas, the Nashville Predators have clinched a berth in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The eight-year stretch of postseason participation is currently tied for the second-longest active streak among all NHL clubs.

The Preds currently have 45 wins and 96 points to keep them in the Western Conference's first Wild Card spot with just two games to go in the regular season. Nashville is competing with the Dallas Stars for the two Wild Card spots in the West, and the Predators are set to face either the Calgary Flames or the Colorado Avalanche in Round One of the postseason.
Coincidentally, two of Nashville's final three games have and will come against their potential first-round opponents; after hosting Calgary on Tuesday, they'll finish the regular season with a back-to-back set on the road at Colorado and at Arizona on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
