During this season’s Ford Military Salute Week, Nashville Yards, a proud partner of the Nashville Predators, is honoring The Legion Fund.
The Legion Fund is a charitable organization dedicated solely to supporting the 5th Special Forces Group, an elite unit based at Fort Campbell, Ky.
The Legion Fund assists these soldiers and their families by supporting needs, including educational scholarships, families of Fallen Heroes (Gold Star Families), medical therapies, childcare, emergency funding and team building.
The Legion Fund was founded in 2014 after journalist Willy Stern was stationed in Afghanistan and first encountered this elite group of soldiers. Upon returning home to Tennessee, he quickly learned of the ongoing needs of the soldiers and their families. He formed The Legion Fund to help support those needs. Since its inception, The Legion Fund has disbursed more than $5.6 million to these soldiers and their families.
Nashville Yards has had the privilege of engaging with these service members and their families and experiencing firsthand how exceptional they truly are. It is an honor to recognize their dedication and sacrifice in service to our country. We thank the Nashville Predators for their commitment to honoring active and retired military service members during Military Salute Week and throughout the season.
