READ THE VERDICT: KUNITZ
The Blackhawks (23-25-9) are looking to bounce back from Tuesday night's 6-3 setback at the hands of the Boston Bruins. The loss snapped a seven-game win streak for Chicago and was their first defeat since Jan. 17. Blackhawks forward Chris Kunitz will play his 1,000th NHL game against the Devils.

Collin Delia leads the team between the pipes with a 3.22 GAA and .916 save percentage in 12 starts. Cam Ward has a .895 SV% and 3.67 GAA in his 22 starts.
New Jersey has lost four of their last five games and fell 8-3 to St. Louis on Tuesday night in their most recent outing.

Blackhawks vs. Devils game preview

Kyle Palmieri leads the Devils in scoring with 42 points (24G, 18A) in 56 games. Nico Hischier is second with 40 total points (16G, 24A) in 52 outings.
In net, Keith Kinkaid has seen the bulk of starts with 36. He has a 3.28 GAA and .894 save percentage. Cory Schneider has a 4.12 GAA and .868 SV% in nine starts.
SEASON SERIES:
This is the second of two meetings this season between the clubs. In the first meeting of the series back on Jan. 14, the Blackhawks lost 8-5. They got two goals and four total points from Kane, as well as goals from Dominik Kahun, Brandon Saad and Brent Seabrook.
LINEUP NOTES:
Cam Ward will get the start between the pipes. Slater Koekkoek is entering the lineup for Gustav Forsling and Kunitz is in for Brendan Perlini.
OPPONENT TO WATCH:
Blake Coleman is second on the team in goals this season with 18. That number is a new career high for the 27-year-old forward, who was a third-round pick by the club back in 2011.
