Jets want you to name their new security puppy

Team urges fans to choose between Benny, Ducky, Scout, Lenny/Kroppy @NHLdotcom

Bell MTS Place has a new security puppy, and it's up to fans to name it.

The home of the Winnipeg Jets has hired a new dog as part of its in-house security team, and the only thing it needs now is a name.

Tweet from @NHLJets: We want your help to name our new security puppy! Will it be Benny, Ducky, Lenny/Kroppy or Scout? VOTE NOW >>

Fans narrowed down the four finalists to either Benny, Lenny/Kroppy, Ducky or Scout.

Benny was the name of the Jets original mascot during the 1980s and 90s. Lenny/Kroppy is for World War II veteran Len Kropioski, a longtime Jets season-ticket holder who died at 98 before the 2016-17 NHL season, and Ducky was the nickname for former Jets forward Dale Hawerchuk.

Those interested in voting can do so until 11:59 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
