SJS@VGK: Golden Knights pay tribute to UNLV victims

The Vegas Golden Knights honored the victims of the UNLV shooting during Sunday’s game against the San Jose Sharks at T-Mobile Arena.

On Wednesday, three university faculty members were tragically killed on campus.

On Sunday, the Golden Knights wore special T-shirts during walk-ins to honor those victims and their families.

The shirts were sold at the area during Sunday's game, with proceeds benefiting UNLV student services. The shirts sold out before puck drop, but the team is hoping to have more available at future home games.

The team also wore special helmet decals during the game.

Before the game, the Golden Knights honored the UNLV community with a pregame ceremony and a moment of silence.

After the tragic shooting on Wednesday, the St. Louis Blues -- who were hosting the Golden Knights that night -- held a moment of silence for the victims.
