The Canucks fan recognized Braden Holtby, despite his face being covered with a mask, in the store and got a photo with him outside Rogers Arena on Monday.
Kashani lives in Richmond, British Columbia but was downtown after a dentist appointment in the area. She decided to get the patches on her Canucks jersey repaired at the team store.
There she spotted Holtby, who was buying Canucks gear. She walked up to him and welcomed him to Vancouver before getting the all-important photographic proof, which
she posted to her Twitter account
with the caption, "Bumped into a lovely Mr. Holtby at the Canucks store."
"I decided to approach him and ask for a socially distanced photo if he is comfortable with one," Kashani told NHL.com. "He happily agreed and was incredibly genuine and nice throughout the whole interaction."
Holtby
signed with the Canucks
on Oct. 9 after playing 10 seasons with the Washington Capitals.
