Here are the Stanley Cup Playoff clinching scenarios for March 28:

EASTERN CONFERENCE

The Washington Capitals will clinch a playoff berth:
* If they defeat the Carolina Hurricanes (7 p.m. ET: ESPN+, FS-CR, NBCSWA, NHL.TV) in any fashion
OR
* If they get one point against Carolina AND the game between the Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets (7 p.m. ET; NHLN, FS-O, RDS, TSN2, NHL.TV) is decided in regulation, regardless of which team wins
