Dec My Room
(DMR) renovated the pediatric outpatient infusion clinic at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center into a friendly, bright, playful and healing environment for the 1,800 patients it serves each year.

The project stemmed from the collaboration between the Sharks Foundation and Kaiser Permanente on the Sharks annual November Hockey Fights Cancer campaign. Lead by the DMR team, and with assistance from the KP pediatric group and hospital staff, the scope of work included: repainting of the entire clinic, the incorporation of a "land and sea" theme sprawling mural in the patient bays and treatment rooms hand painted by local artist Scott Willis, new ocean-inspired curtain partitions, comfortable seating, storage units, toys and wall art.

On Monday, November 18, DMR, Kaiser and Sharks VIP's gathered to unveil the new space. In addition to the unveiling ceremony, Sharks players Barclay Goodrow and Martin Jones, and Barracuda players Jake Middleton and Manny Wiederer joined the event to visit with families in the clinic and distribute FINatical Kids Club packs to pediatric inpatients upstairs in their hospital rooms.
