The San Jose Sharks lost four straight games prior to a 3-1 win at the Columbus Blues Jackets on Friday. It was their first win since Joe Thornton sustained a right-knee injury Jan. 23.
The Sharks defeated the Hurricanes 5-4 in overtime at SAP Center on Dec. 7.
