RAPID REACTION:On a night in which the franchise, and a packed United Center, honored Duncan Keith for his 1,000th NHL game, the Blackhawks tied the game in the third to send it to overtime. With just nine seconds left in OT, Alex Debrincat - who tied the game - won it for Chicago.
Artem Anisimov recorded his first goal of 2018-19 when he buried a Brandon Saad rebound at 11:51 of the first.

Patrick Kane made it 2-0 at 16:01 of the first period with a power-play goal.
Despite a strong start to the second period for the Blackhawks, St. Louis managed to cut their lead in half when Brayden Schenn scored at 12:35 of the middle frame on a delayed penalty.
David Perron tied the game for the Blues at 1:44 of the third period after a Blackhawks turnover. Schenn gave the Blues their first lead at 4:47 of the third.

Call of the Game: DeBrincat's OT winner

DeBrincat scored the equalizer, assisted by Jonathan Toews and Keith, at 13:06 of the third, which sent the game to overtime.
PATRICK'S PATIENCE:Kane's goal was a beautiful display of patience and skill. With a mass of bodies piled up in front of the net, Kane pulled the puck away and carried it until he saw a small window to shoot through. He did just that, burying a power-play tally to increase Chicago's lead to two in the first frame. The goal was Kane's fifth of the season.

TOP-LINE TANGO:The Blackhawks have kept their top line of Toews, DeBrincat and Dominik Kahun together this season and the three have produced. Following DeBrincat's third-period tally, those three players have combined for 10 of Chicago's 19 regulation goals this season (52.6%). Toews and DeBrincat have registered at least a point in all five of the team's games.

TALKING POINTS:
"It's a lot of time on the outdoor rink back home in Fort Frances and then a lot of time on the rinks in Penticton. I'm proud to be able to play 1,000 games and I wouldn't be able to do it without the support of my family and friends. This night was for them too." - Keith on playing his 1,000th game
"I don't know how many games we've been down in the third period, but to come back and win is special. I don't think when we were down 3-2 we had any business being down 3-2 because I liked the way we were playing." - Coach Q on the comeback win
"We were just trying to regroup. It's always exciting when you get that tying goal. We kind of had to calm down and play our game going into overtime. I think that's a big thing. We had a few chances in overtime and we didn't score, but we got them at the end." - DeBrincat on the team's mindset going into overtime
WHAT'S NEXT:The Blackhawks host the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The game can be seen on NBCSCH or heard on WGN 720.
